# Sherpa artbook — first version

Date: 2026-10-08. Status: draft for review.

Open [the visual review](index.html). It works from local files. It has no
external fonts, scripts, or service calls. It includes the three directions,
character sheets, world scenes, key poses, and draft motion loops.

Recommended direction: **soft 3D**. Keep the original character's soft forms,
large goggles, round hands, and warm mouth. Let practical clothing and gear
separate Summit, Ridge, and Terra.

## Review order

1. [Compare three directions](directions/three-directions.png).
2. Review [Summit](characters/summit-sheet.png), [Ridge](characters/ridge-sheet.png), and [Terra](characters/terra-sheet.png).
3. Review [the visual world](world/routes-and-story.png).
4. Compare [six motion key poses](motion/family-keyposes.png) with the timing loops.
5. Review [parts](parts/README.md), [family rules](notes/art-direction.md), and [motion notes](notes/motion.md).

The PNG artwork was made with the built-in imagegen tool. Prompts are in
`prompts/`. The sheets include silhouettes, palettes, clothing, gear,
expressions, and front, side, and back views. Exact colors are in the design
notes. The rendered swatches are approximate.

The PNGs are concept art. The independent SVG parts and motion loops use the
starting vector drafts. Neither set is an approved production character rig.
Read [review notes](notes/review.md) for variation and remaining work.

Starting files stay in the artbook root. Their hashes are in
`notes/starting-assets-sha256.json`. This edition uses only local relative links.
Keep the complete `artbook/` folder when you make a separate repository.
No app source, tools, integrations, or backend behavior was added.
